Final results from Slovenia's March 22, 2026, parliamentary election, certified by the State Election Commission, confirm Prime Minister Robert Golob's Freedom Movement (GS) as the largest party with 29 seats in the 90-seat National Assembly under proportional representation, edging out Janez Janša's Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) at 28 seats on 28.63% versus 27.95% of the vote. This razor-thin plurality amid 69% turnout has locked in trader consensus at near-certainty for GS as the election winner, reflecting the stability of official tallies with no recounts underway. A hung parliament now spurs coalition negotiations among seven qualifying parties, but the seat lead faces minimal risk barring extraordinary legal challenges or verified irregularities, despite intelligence reports confirming foreign influence without impacting certification.
