The Communist Party of Vietnam is scheduled to hold its 14th National Party Congress from January 19 - January 25, 2026, during which it will select the next General Secretary, the highest-ranking political position in Vietnam.

This market will resolve according to the individual who is officially appointed as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam as a result of the Party Congress.

If no Congress takes place or no individual is officially appointed to the position of General Secretary by January 31, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".

Resolution will be based on a consensus of credible reporting, including official announcements from the Party Congress, the Central Committee, and state-affiliated media.

In the event of ambiguity or conflicting reports, resolution will be based solely on the official decision or announcement issued by the Communist Party of Vietnam, including resolutions or communiqués from the Party Congress or the Central Committee.
