Trader consensus on Polymarket slightly favors incumbent Prime Minister Robert Golob at 53.5% to succeed himself after Slovenia's next parliamentary election, driven by recent polls showing his center-left Freedom Movement holding a narrow lead over Janez Janša's center-right Slovenian Democratic Party at around 30-35% versus 25-30% support. Janša, who served as prime minister from 2020-2022, remains a strong contender at 42.5% due to his party's loyal base and potential for post-election coalitions, especially as smaller parties like Anže Logar's New Slovenia (3.7%) and independents such as Vladimir Prebilič (0.8%) trail far behind. Key recent developments include tightening polls amid economic pressures and government scandals, with no-confidence motions failing but eroding Golob's edge; upcoming debates and voter turnout could shift these implied probabilities further.
