This aligns with pre-event forecast models from ECMWF and GFS ensembles predicting highs in the mid-20s amid a high-pressure ridge fostering spring-like warmth atypical for late March averages near 12°C. Supporting data shows no overnight lows or diurnal swings suggesting higher peaks, with urban heat island effects capped by light cloud cover. Realistic challenges—a rare data revision from audit or an unverified outlier station—remain improbable given the network's rigorous quality controls and real-time validation.
