Trader consensus heavily favors DMK at 79% to win the most seats in the April 23 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, driven by recent opinion polls like Lokpal (April 1) projecting 181-189 seats for the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) and Poll Tracker surveys forecasting a sweeping victory with strong vote shares around 40%. Incumbent Chief Minister M.K. Stalin benefits from finalized alliances with INC and others, releasing candidate lists on March 28 amid robust campaign momentum. AIADMK at 15.8% holds a competitive edge in advantageous segments via its NDA-like tie-up with BJP and PMK, but trails in seat projections (38-127 range). TVK's 6% reflects actor Vijay's solo contest in all 234 seats and youth appeal, though polls limit it to 8-10 seats maximum, positioning it as a debut third force. Nominations closed recently, with counting on May 4.
