This market will resolve based on the predominant color of the tie worn by Donald Trump at the 2026 White House Correspondents's Association Dinner, currently scheduled for April 25, 2026. The color will be determined by the most visually dominant color visible in publicly available photos or videos of the event. For example, for the tie to be considered predominantly blue, its primary color must be a shade of blue, though it may feature other colors as part of a pattern. This tie would count as "Blue": https://i.ytimg.com/vi/20w7J2JAmqw/maxresdefault.jpg The following tie has no distinguishable predominant color, and thus would resolve to "Other". https://www.usatoday.com/gcdn/authoring/authoring-images/2025/01/20/USAT/77837111007-xxx-dcmg-105-5190802.jpg If Donald Trump does not wear a tie, or if it is a color not listed among the strike options, or if the event is cancelled or otherwise does not occur by April 30, 2026, the market will resolve to “Other.” The resolution source will be a consensus of credible reporting.Trader consensus assigns 100% probability to "Other" for President Donald Trump's tie color at the April 25, 2026, White House Correspondents' Association Dinner—his first attendance as sitting president after prior boycotts—driven by publicly available arrival photos and live footage confirming he adhered to the event's strict black-tie dress code with a standard black bow tie, absent from the Blue, Red, or Yellow options that reflect his signature long power ties in business settings. This formal gala protocol, emphasizing tuxedos over colored neckties, locked in the outcome before a late security incident prompted evacuation, with no reports of attire changes. Scenarios challenging this near-certainty include emergence of disputed high-resolution images showing a predominant red or yellow hue, though none have surfaced amid credible reporting.
