Donald Trump, the leading Republican presidential candidate, frequently addresses agricultural audiences to court rural voters in battleground states like Iowa and Wisconsin, where farming issues drive turnout. National Agriculture Day on March 27 spotlights U.S. agriculture amid ongoing debates over the expiring farm bill, trade tariffs, biofuel mandates such as year-round E15 ethanol sales, and subsidies for commodities like corn and soybeans. Recent Trump campaign stops, including speeches in the farm belt, have emphasized protecting American farmers from foreign competition and reversing Biden-era policies seen as burdensome. No specific March 27 event featuring Trump has been officially announced, leaving traders focused on potential statements aligning with his pledges to boost rural economies through deregulation and market expansions. Key upcoming catalysts include Iowa caucuses in January and farm bill negotiations in Congress.
