This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Democratic Party to contest the NJ-12 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Democratic primary will take place on June 2, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democrat sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market. In New Jersey's 12th Congressional District Democratic primary on June 4, trader consensus reflects a tight three-way contest among Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson (34.5%), Roselle Park Mayor Brad Cohen (27.5%), and West Caldwell Mayor Susan Altman (23.0%), driven by retiring Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman's open seat and fragmented voter support in a diverse suburban-urban district. Recent Emerson College polling showed the trio clustered in the high teens with high undecideds, underscoring no dominant frontrunner amid strong fundraising by Cohen and progressive backing for Reynolds-Jackson, while Altman's moderate appeal holds steady. Separation could emerge from late endorsements, district-specific turnout in battleground precincts, or final TV ad blitzes before early voting peaks.
