Aaron Ford's commanding 88% implied probability in the Nevada Democratic gubernatorial primary reflects his profile as the incumbent Attorney General, bolstered by a high-profile campaign launch in April 2024 that drew endorsements from key labor unions and Democratic leaders. Traders view his statewide name recognition, fundraising edge—over $1 million raised initially—and progressive record on issues like abortion rights and gun control as key advantages in the open 2026 race following Steve Sisolak's 2022 defeat. State Senator Alexis Hill trails at 5.5%, supported by her legislative experience but lacking Ford's executive visibility. Recent donor filings and early internal polls reinforce Ford's frontrunner status, though the field could expand before the June 2026 primary.
