Trader consensus strongly favors DMK as the winner of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, driven by its incumbency advantage, sweeping all 39 state seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, and popular welfare schemes like free bus travel and student breakfast programs under Chief Minister MK Stalin. ADMK lags due to ongoing internal divisions and leadership transitions following J Jayalalithaa's era, weakening its opposition challenge. TVK, spearheaded by actor Vijay, has surged via massive rallies—including a record turnout at its October 2024 conference—capitalizing on youth appeal and anti-incumbency sentiment, though its organizational inexperience caps trader optimism. Upcoming alliance negotiations and bypolls could shift dynamics amid stable polling leads for DMK.
