VP-elect JD Vance's scheduled remarks at Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan, on March 18 highlight the Trump transition team's focus on Rust Belt swing states, where auto industry protectionism and trade policies remain key voter concerns. Trader consensus pricing reflects Vance's consistent rhetoric on tariffs against China, manufacturing revival, and border security, drawn from his recent Ohio and Pennsylvania speeches and Senate floor defenses of the administration's agenda. No advance text has leaked, leaving room for ad-libs on ongoing cabinet confirmation battles or Michigan-specific economic pledges. Markets may shift post-event based on crowd reactions and media clips, underscoring the speech's role in sustaining post-election momentum amid fluid transition dynamics.
