Incumbent Democrat Joseph Morelle secured a commanding victory in the NY-25 House general election on November 5, leading Republican challenger Frank Parisi by over 25 points in initial vote tallies from Monroe and Ontario counties, with major media outlets like AP calling the race early that night. This outcome aligns with pre-election polling averages showing Morelle ahead 55-40 and the district's D+9 partisan lean, where Democrats have held the seat since 2018. Trader consensus at 93.5% for Democrats reflects the absence of recounts, legal challenges, or irregularities reported in the past week, plus Parisi's low-profile campaign. Reversal would require unprecedented certification disputes or fraud evidence, both highly improbable given clean vote counts and no concessions withheld. Certification expected by early December.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
