Incumbent Rep. Rob Menendez's commanding position in New Jersey's 8th Congressional District, rated Solid Democratic by Cook Political Report with a D+15 partisan voter index, drives trader consensus favoring the Democratic Party at 92.5% for the November 3 general election. The March 23 filing deadline revealed no Republican primary candidates, leaving the GOP without a nominee for the June 2 primaries, while Menendez holds a $709,000 cash advantage over challenger Mussab Ali. He won the 2024 general with 59% amid a competitive primary. Potential shifts include a Menendez primary upset backed by state Sen. Brian Stack's influence, a late strong Republican recruit, or national midterm wave dynamics altering turnout in this Democratic stronghold.
