This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Republican Party to contest the GA-09 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Republican primary will take place on May 19, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Republican sources, including https://rnc.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Incumbent Rep. Andrew Clyde dominates trader consensus at 84.5% implied probability in the GA-09 Republican primary due to his strong incumbency advantage in the safely Republican district, President Trump's endorsement—which he highlighted in a new campaign ad released March 27—and highest cash-on-hand position of over $300,000 as of early 2026 filings. Challenger Sam Couvillon trails at 12% on superior total fundraising exceeding $600,000 and local appeal as former Gainesville mayor, where he aggressively critiqued Clyde's constituent service during the March 23 district GOP debate. Hall County Commissioner Gregg Poole holds 6% amid self-funded efforts. A post-debate straw poll favored Couvillon among attendees, but broader trader sentiment prioritizes Clyde's resources ahead of the May 19 primary.
