$40,944 Vol.
Rules
This market resolves to “Yes” if CME Group files a self-certification under CFTC Regulation 40.2 for at least one sport-based event contract by December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, it resolves to “No.”
For this market, “self-certify” means CME, acting as a DCM or self-listing exchange, submits a written certification per 17 C.F.R. § 40.2 that the contract complies with the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations. The contract must explicitly reference a sporting event (e.g. game result, player performance, etc.). Announcements alone do not qualify; the filing must be made and publicly verifiable.
The resolution source will be the CFTC’s public filings, CME’s disclosures, and a consensus of credible reporting.
