The Parti Québécois maintains a commanding lead in recent polling aggregates ahead of the October 5 election, driven by consistent support near 29 percent overall and a 13-point advantage among francophones at 37 percent, the voter bloc decisive in most ridings. This positioning reflects gains in suburban Montreal and among seniors, alongside favorable leader ratings for Paul St-Pierre Plamondon following recent debates. The incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec has slipped to around 20-22 percent amid leadership transition challenges, while the Liberals and Conservatives split federalist support at similar levels. A PQ plurality appears the most probable outcome based on current seat projections, though scenarios such as stronger Conservative performance in Quebec City or unexpected shifts in francophone turnout could narrow the margin or produce a minority government.
