Speculation, suggestions, plans, or other announcements which do not announce a completed acquisition or a binding acquisition agreement, however, will not count. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the US federal government and a consensus of credible reporting. The Trump administration's policy of acquiring federal equity stakes in strategic companies—such as Intel for semiconductors, Lithium Americas for lithium supply, and USA Rare Earth for critical minerals—continues to shape trader sentiment, emphasizing national security, supply chain resilience against China, and CHIPS Act implementation. No new stakes have been announced in the past 30 days, leaving the market focused on potential next targets in AI, quantum computing, defense, and semiconductors amid ongoing Department of Defense contracts and Commerce Department awards. Upcoming events include possible confirmation hearings for additional CHIPS funding and executive actions on AI infrastructure, which could catalyze shifts in probabilities before the December 31, 2026, resolution deadline.
