H100 GPU rental prices have surged amid unrelenting AI compute demand outpacing supply, with SemiAnalysis reporting a 40% rise in one-year contract rates to $2.35 per hour by March 2026, as on-demand capacity sold out across providers like RunPod, Lambda, and hyperscalers. Spot hourly pricing remains volatile at $1.38–$14.19 depending on the platform—cheapest via specialized neoclouds like Thunder Compute, priciest on Google Cloud—driven by advanced large language model training for tools like Anthropic's Claude 4.6 Opus and multi-agent workloads. No significant new Hopper supply has entered the market, while Blackwell ramps face delays; traders eye April 30 resolution on the Silicon Data H100 index for potential further tightness from Q2 AI lab expansions.
