Elon Musk's March 10 announcement of X Money early public access launching in April has solidified trader consensus around a 63% implied probability for rollout by April 30 on Polymarket, reflecting skin-in-the-game bets on X's payments platform amid partnerships with Visa for instant funding via Visa Direct and Cross River Bank for backend rails. Lower odds for April 3 (5%) and April 10 (8%) stem from historical feature delays on the platform, despite recent hires like former Aave designer Benji Taylor to polish peer-to-peer transfers, debit cards, and 6% APY savings. Regulatory approvals for money transmission in key U.S. states bolster feasibility, positioning X against Venmo and PayPal in the everything-app race, with watch for Musk posts or beta signups this week as key catalysts.
