Anthropic has not yet officially released Claude 5, its anticipated next-generation large language model family, keeping trader sentiment focused on Q2 2026 timelines amid recent leaks and competitive pressures. Late March 2026 disclosures revealed internal documents on "Claude Mythos," a potential Opus 5 flagship with advanced agentic capabilities, alongside a massive Claude Code source code leak exposing undercover modes and efficiency gains. These followed the February 3 launch of Claude Sonnet 5, which hit 92% on SWE-bench coding benchmarks, bolstering Anthropic's positioning against OpenAI's GPT-5 and Google's Gemini updates. Upcoming catalysts include possible developer previews or safety reports, with resolution hinging on public availability confirmation before key dates like April 30. Prediction markets reflect uncertainty, pricing mid-year rollout as consensus.

For this market to resolve to "Yes," Claude 5 must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice. The release must be clearly defined and publicly announced by Anthropic as being accessible to the general public.
Claude 5 refers to a product explicitly named Claude 5 (e.g. Claude 5.0 would count), or one that is recognized as a successor to Claude 4, similar to the progression from Claude 2 to Claude 3. Products labeled as Claude 4.5 or similar will not count for this market's resolution.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Anthropic, with additional verification from a consensus of credible reporting.
