OpenAI's IPO preparations have accelerated with the recent hiring of ex-DocuSign CFO for investor relations, signaling a targeted Q4 2026 public debut amid private valuations topping $850 billion from a $100 billion funding round closed in February. Surging annualized revenue exceeding $25 billion—driven by ChatGPT's enterprise pivot—offsets projected $14 billion 2026 losses and cash burn extending profitability to 2029, drawing scrutiny on 28x forward multiples versus Nvidia's. Traders weigh competitive pressures from Anthropic, regulatory hurdles for SEC filing expected H2 2026, and macro Treasury yields impacting tech valuations as pivotal for closing market cap resolution by year-end.
