Recent severe weather disruptions, including over 460 flight cancellations and 5,500 delays on April 4 amid spring storms hitting hubs like Chicago O'Hare, have fueled trader uncertainty for April 6 TSA checkpoint passenger throughput, keeping odds tightly clustered between <2.4 million (36.5%) and 2.4-2.6 million (44.5%). April 2 volumes hit 2.71 million during peak Easter weekend and lingering spring break travel, but Good Friday and Saturday chaos—coupled with TSA staffing strains and year-over-year declines like -10% on April 1—suggest potential suppression. A weather rebound could drive post-holiday returns toward 2.6 million+, while prolonged disruptions risk sub-2.4 million levels.
