Trader consensus favors 2.6M-2.8M passengers at TSA checkpoints on April 5 at 73.5% implied probability, reflecting sustained spring break travel demand into early April despite a recent dip from late-March peaks near 2.76M on March 29. Official TSA data shows April 2 (Tuesday) at 2.71M and April 1 at 2.36M, with weekends like March 30 (Saturday) at 2.53M, positioning Saturday April 5 for a comparable uplift amid normalizing wait times following DHS shutdown resolution and backpay issuance to agents. The adjacent 2.8M-3.0M outcome at 48% accounts for potential lingering holiday surges, while sub-2.6M at 37.5% hedges against further volume softening as spring break wanes regionally. Airlines project 2.8M daily averages through April, bolstering mid-range expectations.
