Trader consensus on Polymarket prices Democrats at 68.5% to win New Jersey's 7th Congressional District House seat, reflecting strong challengers in the June 2 Democratic primary against vulnerable incumbent Rep. Tom Kean Jr. (R), who faces no GOP primary foe. Rebecca Bennett leads the primary field with endorsements from four of six county Democratic committees, $2.7 million raised overall—including a record $700,000 in Q1 2026—and $1.4 million cash on hand, per recent filings. A February internal poll showed the race fluid among Bennett, Tina Shah, Brian Varela, and Michael Roth, with 64% undecided pre-bios, but Bennett's momentum has solidified her frontrunner status after Megan O’Rourke's March dropout. Cook Political Report's Toss Up rating cites the district's even partisan voting index, Kean's tougher environment, and midterm headwinds for the GOP amid Democratic generic ballot leads.
