Following the March 22, 2026, Slovenian parliamentary election, trader consensus favors Janez Janša at 42.5% implied probability to become next prime minister amid a hung National Assembly, where incumbent Robert Golob's Freedom Movement (GS) took 29 seats to Janša's Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) 28 seats but lost its prior majority. Center-right coordination announced April 1 among SDS, the NSi-SLS-FOKUS bloc (9 seats), Anže Logar's Democrats (6 seats), and Resni.ca (5 seats) signals a viable path to 46+ seats for a Janša-led coalition, despite Resni.ca's reservations against his leadership. Golob, at 31.5%, pursues a broad center-left alliance excluding SDS, facing ideological hurdles. Parliament convenes April 10 for candidacy votes.
