Trader consensus prices 300,000-400,000 deportations in 2026 at 34.5%, driven by ICE arrests surging to over 1,100 daily in early 2026 per recent reports, bolstered by 12,000 new agent hires and detention capacity expanding toward 70,000 beds, yet tempered by processing backlogs, inconsistent data releases, and a rhetorical shift away from "mass deportations" amid midterm concerns. The 400,000-500,000 bin (23%) leads challengers by betting on phase two acceleration beyond criminal noncitizens, while 200,000-300,000 (21.5%) reflects sanctuary resistance and economic impacts. Consolidation toward higher outcomes hinges on swift DHS secretary confirmation and budget execution for more removal flights; lower if legal challenges or local noncooperation persist.
