Trader consensus heavily favors Beinir Johannesen at 89% implied probability as next Løgmaður of the Faroe Islands, driven by his Union Party's April 29 election win with 9 Løgting seats and a June 17 coalition agreement with the Centre Party (6 seats) and Progress Party (4 seats), securing a 19-seat majority. This pact explicitly names Johannesen to lead the new government, pending formal Løgting vote. Høgni Hoydal's 8% reflects his Self-Government Party's opposition role with 4 seats, while trailing odds for Bárður á Steig Nielsen (People's Party, 7 seats), Aksel V. Johannesen (Social Democrats, 7 seats), Ruth Vang, and Jenis av Rana stem from exclusion from the coalition amid failed talks. Markets await the confirmation vote, but stability favors the incumbent.
