Former President Trump's scheduled appearance at a Memphis roundtable with Black faith leaders on August 29 has traders weighing his past unscripted remarks on Vice President Harris' ethnic heritage against the event's outreach focus to minority voters. Recent controversy from his National Association of Black Journalists interview, where he questioned whether Harris is "Indian or Black," drives speculation on potential repeats, with market odds reflecting trader bets on scripted versus off-the-cuff delivery. Campaign trail patterns show variability in such forums, amid tightening polls in swing states. The live event itself remains the key catalyst, potentially shifting implied probabilities based on exact phrasing.
