Trader consensus on Polymarket prices the $2.25–2.50 per dozen outcome at 58% implied probability, closely tracking the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) February 2026 national city average retail price of $2.50 for Grade A large eggs, down 3% from January's $2.577 amid recovering table egg production up 5% year-over-year. This positioning reflects sharply lower wholesale prices—national loose large eggs averaging under $1.00—driven by reduced highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreaks, with only 20.6 million birds affected in 2026 versus 23.2 million last year. The secondary $2.50–2.75 bin at 25.5% accounts for potential retail lag, while higher bins languish below 3% given oversupply signals. March BLS data, due April 10, represents the key resolution catalyst.
