Incumbent Rep. Jake Ellzey (R) secured the Republican nomination in the March 3 primary for Texas' 6th Congressional District with 68% of the vote, fending off right-flank challengers and advancing to face Democrat Danny Minton, who ran unopposed, in the November 3 general election. Trader consensus at 88% for a GOP win reflects the district's R+14 Cook Partisan Voter Index, Ellzey's historical dominance (65.7% in 2024 general), and stark fundraising edge—$2.1 million cash on hand versus Minton's $9,000 per recent FEC reports. Solid Republican ratings from Cook Political Report and others underscore minimal flip risk absent a national Democratic wave, with no polls or major developments since primaries.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
