Trump's anticipated remarks at the Memphis roundtable, hosted by local conservative leaders amid the city's elevated crime rates, are driving trader consensus based on his recent post-assassination attempt rhetoric and RNC acceptance speech. Following the July 13 Pennsylvania incident, Trump has emphasized unity, law and order, and critiques of Democratic border and urban policies—patterns evident in prior urban roundtables. Official event previews highlight discussions on economic opportunity and public safety with Black community figures. Traders weigh his history of unscripted phrasing like "fight" or "fake news," with odds reflecting skin-in-the-game assessments of live delivery. The roundtable itself, expected soon, remains the key market mover.
