This market will resolve to “Yes” if any gold coin featuring Donald Trump’s likeness is officially issued by the U.S. Mint by July 4th, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A coin will be considered “officially issued” if the U.S. Mint makes it available for any form of public purchase, order, or distribution. Announcement of a coin without qualifying issuance will not count. A qualifying coin must be legal tender, but does not need to be minted for general circulation. Commemorative coins minted for a limited production run will qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the U.S. Mint; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**The Commission of Fine Arts unanimously approved the design for a 24-karat gold commemorative coin featuring President Trump's image on March 19, advancing U.S. Mint production for America's 250th anniversary on July 4.** This rare depiction of a sitting president leverages statutory authority for semiquincentennial coins, bypassing traditional prohibitions on living persons via commemorative loopholes, though a federal lawsuit by a retired attorney challenges its legality. With no subsequent Treasury announcements on manufacturing timelines or distribution—typically requiring weeks to months amid Mint production backlogs—traders price a 60.5% "No" probability, emphasizing execution risks before the deadline despite prior congressional program authorization. Upcoming Mint updates or court rulings could shift consensus.
