Incumbent Rep. Lisa McClain's commanding position in Michigan's 9th Congressional District, rated R+16 on the Cook Partisan Voter Index, anchors trader consensus at 89.5% for a Republican victory, reflecting her 66.8% reelection margin in 2024 and unopposed primary path so far. Her recent elevation to House Republican Conference Chairwoman late last year bolsters fundraising—$1.6 million cash on hand as of December 2025—against Democratic primary contenders Wyatt Clark and Ray Pooley, who report zero funds raised. With filing deadline April 21 and primary August 4, the district's consistent Republican performance since 2022 leaves little room for an upset barring unforeseen scandals or national wave shifts.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
