Incumbent Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick's federal indictment over misusing $5 million in FEMA funds and recent House Ethics Committee guilty verdict on 25 of 27 violations—including campaign finance breaches and misuse of official funds—have fueled a competitive Democratic primary in Florida's 20th Congressional District, with polls showing challenger Elijah Manley leading at 35–47% against her 31% and others like Dale Holness. Rated Solid Democratic by Cook Political Report with a D+22 partisan voting index, the Broward County district's heavy Democratic lean sustains trader consensus at 89.5% for a Democratic general election winner on November 3, 2026, despite the GOP primary field of lesser-known candidates like Sendra Dorce. The August 18 primaries could consolidate Democratic support, minimizing upset risk absent extraordinary developments.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
