Incumbent Democratic Gov. Tina Kotek holds a commanding position in the 2026 Oregon gubernatorial race ahead of the May 19 primaries, driving trader consensus to an 87% implied probability for a Democratic winner amid the state's long Democratic trifecta and urban voter dominance. Recent February polling by FM3 Research shows Kotek leading top Republican challengers—Christine Drazan (45-40%), Ed Diehl (43-37%), and Chris Dudley (45-35%)—in head-to-head general election matchups among likely voters. Despite losing 2022 endorsements from the Oregon Education Association and Working Families Party over sustained school funding disputes in early March, Kotek retains backing from key labor unions, legislators, and congressional Democrats. A crowded Republican primary risks splintering the GOP field, echoing the 2022 split that secured Kotek's narrow 47% victory, with ratings firms like Cook Political Report rating the race Solid Democratic.

A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date.
Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.
