Recent Emerson College polling from October 23-25 shows Democrat Sue Altman leading incumbent Republican Tom Kean Jr. 46%-44% in the battleground NJ-07 district, fueling trader consensus favoring Democrats at 52.5% over Republicans at 35%. Altman's fundraising edge—hauling in over $3 million more—and strong appeal to suburban independents and women voters amid national abortion debates have shifted sentiment since Kean's narrow 2022 win. Early voting trends lean Democratic, but GOP base turnout and late-deciding moderates remain pivotal ahead of November 5 Election Day in this toss-up race rated Lean Republican by forecasters like Cook Political Report.
