This positioning stems from a warmer-than-average seasonal outlook for April-June, driven by persistent high-pressure systems and mild southerly winds advecting warmer air masses, as indicated by recent ECMWF and GFS model ensembles showing a mean around 17.5°C with a 2-3°C spread. Differentiating factors include potential cloud cover from an approaching front, which could cap highs at 17°C, versus clearer skies boosting to 19°C or higher (24.5%). Historical early-April averages hover at 16°C, but current patterns favor mild conditions; watch JMA's daily updates for refinements ahead of resolution.
