Preliminary FlightAware data confirms approximately 5,300 US flights—those arriving 15 or more minutes late within, into, or out of the country—on March 30, firmly anchoring trader consensus at 99.1% for the 5,000-5,500 range amid high spring break traffic volumes. Unlike mid-March storms that spiked delays over 8,000, March 30 saw only minor disruptions from Northeast winds at New York airports (JFK, LGA, EWR) and isolated Florida thunderstorms, compounded by lingering TSA staffing shortages from partial DHS shutdown. FAA air traffic reports noted no widespread issues. Resolution hinges on final FlightAware tally; rare late adjustments or definitional disputes with DOT stats could shift odds, but current tracking makes this improbable.
