This market will resolve based on the "Total delays within, into, or out of the United States yesterday" figure on FlightAware when it is checked at 12:00 PM ET on the day after March 31, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is https://www.flightaware.com/live/cancelled/yesterday, specifically the "Total delays within, into, or out of the United States yesterday" figure on the "FlightAware.com live flight delay and cancellation statistics for yesterday" table when checked at the specified time. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the resolution source becomes permanently unavailable, or is otherwise unavailable at the resolution time up until 6 PM ET on that date, market will resolve to the lowest available bracket.Trader consensus clusters tightly around 6,500–8,000 US flight delays for March 31, reflecting uncertainty over wind impacts at Northeast hubs like Boston Logan (BOS), New York (JFK, LGA, EWR), Philadelphia (PHL), and Washington (DCA), as forecasted in the FAA's March 30 Air Traffic Report amid spring break travel volumes near 45,000 daily flights. Recent days show variability—preliminary FlightAware data logged about 5,400 delays on March 29 after 3,000+ on March 27—recovering from mid-March storms that spiked delays over 12,000, with ongoing TSA staffing strains from partial government shutdowns risking cascading effects. Intensifying winds, unexpected thunderstorms, or FAA ground delay programs could push toward 7,500+, while clear skies and efficient air traffic control might drop below 6,000.
