Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Bulgaria on April 19, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially sworn in as Prime Minister of Bulgaria following the next parliamentary election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is appointed by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Bulgaria; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Former President Rumen Radev leads trader consensus at 63% implied probability to become Bulgaria's next prime minister following the April 19, 2026 snap parliamentary election—the eighth in five years amid chronic instability and failed coalition attempts. His newly formed Progressive Bulgaria consistently tops polls, such as Alpha Research's March 29 survey showing 30.8% support versus GERB-UDF's 21.2%, positioning his bloc for the first exploratory mandate from President Iliyana Yotova. Assen Vassilev of Continue the Change trails at around 16% odds, reflecting his party's competitive but secondary polling, while caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov holds 14% on potential extended tenure if no stable government forms post-election. Recent campaign rhetoric, including Radev's criticism of Gyurov's Ukraine security pact, underscores voter priorities on inflation and corruption, with coalition negotiations likely pivotal after low turnout risks in fragmented polls.
