Iran's latest missile and drone strike on March 28 targeted the U.S.-operated Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, wounding 10-20 American troops and damaging refueling aircraft, marking direct escalation in the ongoing U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict that erupted in late February with joint strikes reportedly killing Supreme Leader Khamenei. Tehran has since launched barrages at Israel, Gulf states including UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman hosting U.S. bases, and energy infrastructure, retaliating against Israeli airstrikes and U.S. operations amid Hezbollah clashes in Lebanon. President Trump paused threats against Iranian oil facilities until April 6 for talks, but mutual accusations persist, with Iran vowing further regional hits on military assets; traders eye potential naval targets in the Strait of Hormuz or intensified proxy actions before April 30 resolution.
