Incumbent Rep. Jennifer McClellan (D) seeks reelection in Virginia's 4th Congressional District, a solidly Democratic seat with a D+17 Cook Partisan Voter Index, where she won 67% in 2024 amid 66% Democratic presidential support. Rated Safe Democratic by Sabato's Crystal Ball and Solid Democrat by Cook Political Report as of mid-March, the race lacks declared Republican primary challengers ahead of the May 26 filing deadline and August 4 primaries, with only independent Jason Brown in the general field. McClellan's recent securing of over $10 million in community project funding bolsters her position, reflecting trader consensus on her incumbency advantage and district demographics. A late GOP recruit, national midterm wave favoring Republicans, or unforeseen scandal could challenge this outlook before November 3.
