Mercedes' W17 dominance has positioned George Russell and Kimi Antonelli as the clear frontrunners in the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship market, with trader consensus implying a 42.5% probability for Russell despite trailing Antonelli 63-72 points after three Grands Prix. Antonelli's back-to-back victories in China and Japan—his maiden win followed by a commanding Suzuka triumph from pole—catapulted him to the summit, showcasing rookie poise amid safety car chaos that dropped Russell to fourth via battery failure. Russell's Australian GP win and qualifying parity underline his experience edge in the intra-team title hunt, while Ferrari's Leclerc (49 points) and Hamilton lag, reflecting Mercedes' early superiority in race pace and reliability.
