Trader consensus heavily favors Merab Dvalishvili (87%) as Petr Yan's next opponent in the UFC bantamweight division, driven by Dvalishvili's post-fight callout immediately after his unanimous decision win over former champion Sean O'Malley at UFC 306 on September 14, and Yan's quick Instagram acceptance stating he's ready to fight. Reports from MMA insiders indicate UFC is targeting the matchup as a potential co-main event for UFC 311 on January 18 in Los Angeles, positioning it as a key contender bout with Dvalishvili riding a 12-fight win streak and Yan fresh off a TKO victory over Jonalton Cachoeira at UFC 299. While unconfirmed officially, the stylistic clash and rankings logic (Dvalishvili #1, Yan top-5) solidify the frontrunner status; shifts could arise from injuries, title shot pivots for Dvalishvili, or late roster changes.
