Tight leaderboard after Round 1 at the Texas Children's Houston Open keeps trader consensus bunched, with Ryo Hisatsune holding a slim one-stroke edge at 7-under over Beau Hossler, Lee Hodges, and Mark Hubbard at 6-under, reflected in their implied probabilities hovering around 45-47%. Calm weather at Memorial Park Golf Course sparked a birdie bonanza, enabling 20-plus players to post 65s or better and fueling the crowded top 10. Hossler's strong ball-striking (top-5 strokes gained tee-to-green last start), Hodges' recent hot putter, and Hubbard's course history contribute to the parity, while no player has separated amid a deep PGA Tour field including amateurs like Christo Lamprecht and Nick Dunlap lurking under par. Expect volatility through the par-70 layout's demanding greens and length demands.
