Recent SKDS polling from late March 2026 shows populist Latvia First (LPV) narrowly ahead of incumbent New Unity (JV) at around 15% versus 11% vote share among decided voters, fueling trader consensus on a razor-thin race for most seats in Latvia's proportional representation Saeima election on October 3. JV's sharp decline reflects voter fatigue with the governing coalition amid economic pressures, scandals, and high undecideds (26%), while National Alliance (NA) holds steady in third. The fragmented field, with Progressives (PRO), United List (AS), and Sovereign Power (SV) clustered near 10-12%, heightens uncertainty; momentum from leader debates, economic data, or coalition signals could tip the balance toward clearer separation.
