This market will resolve to "Yes" if Ken Paxton withdraws from or officially announces his withdrawal from the 2026 Texas Senate Republican Primary election, or announces the suspension of his 2026 Senate campaign, by May 25, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Ken Paxton or his official/legal representatives; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton advanced to the GOP primary runoff against incumbent Sen. John Cornyn following the March 4, 2026, Texas primaries, but trader consensus at 91.6% on "No" reflects his firm commitment after the March 17 withdrawal deadline passed without him exiting the race. Earlier hints in early March of potentially dropping out conditionally—if Senate leadership scrapped the filibuster for the SAVE Act voter ID bill—faded without policy movement or presidential endorsement from Donald Trump, who remained neutral. Recent polls show Paxton holding a narrow primary edge amid competitive general election matchups against Democrat James Talarico, with the May 26 runoff poised as the next key event absent scandals or legal developments forcing withdrawal.
