Surging demand for AI inference and agentic coding workloads has driven NVIDIA H100 GPU rental prices sharply higher, with 1-year contracts climbing nearly 40% to $2.35 per hour by March 2026 from $1.70 lows in October 2025, according to SemiAnalysis data released this week. Spot rates on peer-to-peer marketplaces like Vast.ai show medians around $1.55 per hour amid critically low availability under 40 units, while premium platforms quote $2.50-$2.60, underscoring persistent supply shortages despite Blackwell B200 ramps. Competitive dynamics from AMD MI300X remain muted, and decentralized networks like Akash offer H100s at $1.54 but with reliability risks. Traders eye the Silicon Data H100 Index through April 30 resolution, with NVIDIA's next supply updates as a key catalyst.
