This market will resolve according to the team that wins the listed division during the 2025-26 NHL regular season. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win its division (e.g., mathematical elimination before season end), the relevant market will resolve immediately to “No.” If the 2025-26 NHL season is permanently canceled or has not been completed by June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other.”Carolina Hurricanes have clinched the Metropolitan Division title with a dominant 48-21-6 record and 102 points through 75 games, securing top seed in the Eastern Conference playoff bracket ahead of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Their consistent power play efficiency, stout penalty kill, and Frederik Andersen's steady goaltending have built an insurmountable 10-point lead over Pittsburgh (92 points), with the Penguins holding just six games remaining. Recent victories, including against Columbus, sealed the division mathematically, driving trader consensus to 98.9% implied probability. Realistic challenges are negligible barring catastrophic injuries to key contributors like Sebastian Aho or Andrei Svechnikov, or an unprecedented Penguins win streak coupled with Hurricanes collapses.
