Soon-Woo Kwon, the South Korean wild card ranked No. 335, leverages home crowd energy and dominant 2026 hard-court form (9-2 record, including a Phan Thiet Challenger title) against No. 169 seed Leandro Riedi in the Busan Challenger first round on outdoor hard. Riedi holds a ranking and height edge (6'3") but enters with hard-court struggles (2-5 YTD), highlighted by recent early exits in Phoenix Challenger, Miami qualifying, and Lille. No prior head-to-head exists; Kwon's career hard win rate (64%) slightly tops Riedi's (61%), though his Yokkaichi quarterfinal retirement 18 days ago raises fitness concerns. Davis Cup victories for Kwon add momentum in this evenly matched opener.
